    mostly cobbles, some sediment/mud

Condition of stream bank sides and top

Sides mostly riprapped, with some erosion at water level; 5-10 ft. of trees and shrubs along each side; then park lawn and wooded slopes for 150 ft. plus on one side; residential lawn, then houses within 50-75 ft. of stream on other side

lower part of sides mildly eroded; upper parts mostly vegetated; top has c. 10 feet of trees, shrubs, then lawn, then houses c. 75 ft. from stream on one side; steep vegetated but eroded berm containing construction debris on other side

lower part of sides mildly eroded (less so at monitoring site than further upstream); upper parts vegetated; top is forested for full 600 ft. drainage area on either side of stream

    Known stressors

several stormwater outfalls (combination of BMP outfalls and probable unmitigated outfalls) near +/or under Kirby Rd.; combined effects of upstream stressors listed for other sites, all located  1800 ft.+  upstream

inadequate stormwater mgmt. upstream (one cul-de-sac with no known mitigation 600 ft. upstream; one inadequate stormwater pond 1200 ft. upstream); unmanaged runoff from basketball court enters stream at bridge

steep berm/construction debris at site; concreted/piped stormwater system with no known mitigation draining c. 30 acres empties into stream c. 700 ft. upstream
